The Grammy-nominated Rapper, Entrepreneur, and Activist Nipsey Hussle was gunned down in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles at his clothing store “Marathon” March 31st in Los Angeles, California where he was shortly pronounced dead at a hospital. The Celebration of the Life & Legacy of Nipsey will be held Thursday, April 11th 2019 at Staples Center arena in Los Angeles .
Who was Nipsey Hussle?
Born Ermias Joseph Asghedom which means “GOD will rise” 8/15/85. Known to most as a artist, entrepreneur, and community activist from Los Angeles, California. Growing up in the Crenshaw district with his grandma since the age of 14, he started getting into narcotics to make money to support his family. He was initiated into the Crip Organization of the neighborhood 60’s. He found out his dad side was from Africa and he took a three month visit to Eritrea in 2004 and that inspired him to become a community activist with an entrepreneurial mindset. Grinding, and doing business after almost 15 years he released Victory Lap in February 2018 to which was nominated for Best Rap Album at the Grammys. Nipsey Hussle has 2 children, 3 siblings “2 Brothers & sister” and was in a relationship with Actress Lauren London. Nipsey discography has over 14 projects with Victory Lap being his first studio album and owns the rights to all his masters. Nipsey Hussle was true business man having ties with investments in clothing store “The Marathon Clothing” Cryptocurrency App “Follow Coin”, Crenshaw & Slauson Entire shopping center, all Money in “Record Label” and more. His saying “All Money in No Money Out” means intelligently investing one’s wealth into something rather than spending or having expenses. As an activist Nipsey Hussle pushed for entrepreneurship, unity, and self sustainability. Nipsey said “I believe that economics is based on scarcity of markets, And it’s possible to monetize your art without compromising the integrity of it for commerce. I could go on about his legacy, For everyone who knew Nipsey knew what he stood for and wanted.
