Whoa it’s finally here, 30 years later.
This year, in March, DJ Jazzy Jeff reminisced about the video for his and Will Smith‘s “Nightmare On My Street” video which was shelved 30 years ago due to a dispute with New Line Cinema, the owners of the Nightmare On Elm Street horror film franchise that inspired the clip.
Jazzy also mentioned that the video had been filmed, but couldn’t be released.
He also hinted that it could surface at some point, considering the circumstances.
Well, the video surfaced Oct.22,2018, right before the scariest day of the year.
The video combines two things that the culture loves, ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,’ and ‘Nightmare on Em street.
Who would have expected this collaboration?
The clip didn’t just surface the internet because of the Halloween, The video could also be a cool way to help promote the newest Freddy krueger movie, ‘Nightmare: Return to Elm Street.’ The movie will be released on Jan.1,2018.
The movie also stars Warrington Etienne, an African American actor, singer, and songwriter. Etienne plays the father in the new Horror film.
Today is great day for the culture.
