ATLANTA – Police are hoping to identify a brazen armed robber who was seen on video attacking a young woman and robbing her at gunpoint as she returned to her upscale apartment after a long night of work.
The robbery happened at CORE at Lindbergh in Buckhead, not to far from the Lindbergh MARTA station in Atlanta, GA.
According to WSB-TV, The Atlanta Police Department gave Channel 2’s Michael Seiden an exclusive look at the surveillance video.
Different tenants were shown the video and all were in shock.
“To spend a good amount of money to live here and you’re still getting robbed?” one resident said.
“I was walking from here to Kroger, but now that video has pretty much changed my mind,” a neighbor said.
According to Atlanta Police, detectives have spent week’s reviewing the surveillance footage.
The video clearly shows an unexpected 23-year-old victim preparing to enter the complex.
A man armed with a gun approached her and the victim attempted to put up a fight.

Resident Lucci Blanco, the complex security guard was very upset that management didn’t send her a safety alert.
“Someone in a whole other building had to call me and tell me that a female got robbed at gunpoint,” Blanco said.
Seiden took her concerns directly to management, they responded back Via email.
“We are thankful that nobody was hurt, and are committed to the safety and well-being of our residents and staff.”
According the the police statement, the victim told the officers that she was carrying nearly $800 on her during the robbery.
Investigators are trying to figure out if she was followed home. They are hoping someone will identify the armed robber.
